The Boy-Who-Lived is now The Dead-Who-Farts

Daniel Radcliffe Swiss Army Man

He has been known as the Boy-Who-Lived for several years. Now, he’s a corpse. Daniel Radcliffe is taking on a new ridiculous role as a farting corpse in Swiss Army Man.

In the new issue of Empire, Radcliffe revealed how he got on playing the role in this fiercely original comic drama. The former famous Harry Potter will now play as a dead man who is befriended by a suicidal man. As crazy and morbid as it sounds, Radcliffe says it’s a pretty cheerful movie.

Apparently, the 27-year-old actor did not take so much time in deciding whether he’d sign up for the project or not. He said: “All I knew was that Paul Dano was on board, and the logline, Which was something like ‘A suicidal man finds a corpse, and they go on a magical journey together’.”

To say that this is an unusual film is an understatement. In one scene, his corpse had to fart its way across water like he was a jet ski. “That’s what’s so exciting. You shouldn’t be able to be this sweet and this gross and this stupid and this clever, all at the same time,” he acknowledges.

You’ll understand this bizarre film as it hits the big screen on September 30.
