It’s every girl’s dream to be asked out by their crush. And we think many girls born in the 1990’s and 2000 have had a crush on “I Want Candy” singer, Aaron Carter.
Chloe Moretz Gets Asked Out By Childhood Crush Aaron Carter
After admitting that she had a childhood crush on Aaron Carter, Chloe Grace Moretz received a mutual reaction. In a video posted by Variety on August 8, Moretz detailed her crush on Carter:
“When I was 4 years old I thought Aaron Carter was so cool,” she shares. “My friend, when we were both little babies back in Georgia, she liked Aaron Carter, too. We used to fight about who would date Aaron Carter one day. Who knows? Maybe we’ll meet.”
Shortly after, Carter responded through social media with two tweets.
Moretz is yet to respond on his tweets but we’re hoping they’re privately setting up a date.
Aaron Carter Splits With Madison Parker
Three days before this sweet tweet, Us Weekly confirmed the break-up of Carter and his girlfriend Madison Parker. A source close to the singer shares how the 29-year old Carter is relieved with their split. “Madison was not a good influence on Aaron, and Aaron is better off without her,” the source said. “He’s able to live an authentic life for the first time. He’s finally free and doesn’t have the anxiety he was having.”
The two only started dating last year and lived together. A week ago, Madison moved out from their place. The insider said, “Aaron asked her to leave and helped her pack her things, but she was angry and calling him names when she was leaving.”
Aaron Carter’s Sexual Preference
“When I was around 13-years-old I started to find boys and girls attractive,” he wrote. “There were years that went by that I thought about it, but it wasn’t until I was 17-years old, after a few relationships with girls, I had an experience with a male that I had an attraction to who I also worked with and grew up with.”
This caused tension in their relationship as Madison was not supportive of this and could not understand it. In fact, after the two called it quits, the photographer joked on Twitter that Carter will be getting married to his publicist. She wrote, “Can’t wait to come to the wedding.”
The source said this joke upset Carter especially after “…he came out about something in such a pure, honest way.”
Aaron Carter on What Made Him Come Out in Public
On The Bert Show’s episode last August 9, Carter dived a bit deeper into his confession. “To be honest, I’ve been thinking about it for years. I just felt like it was something that I needed to do,” he said on his coming out to the public. “It was something that I just felt like was important and I needed to say. It was a part of a new chapter of turning 30, on December 7 this year.”
On why it took him this long to share this to everyone, he said: “The process is at your own pace and is when you feel comfortable. There might be a lot of people who don’t agree with it, but you might be surprised by the people who do.”
Carter was even more emotional when he thought about his break-up. “To be honest, I’m alone right now, and I would like to have a relationship,” his voice starting to crack up. “Sorry, got a little teary-eyed. I just went through a breakup.”
Support From Fans and Fellow Celebrities
While it was really scary for Carter to come up with his decision, he was shocked by the outpouring of love and respect from people. Celebs like Boy George and Paris Jackson showed support. The insider said: “It was a huge risk… [but] Everyone was really so positive and he needed the support.”
As for his future relationship, Carter says: “Whether I should be with a woman or a man is my decision, no one else’s.” As of now, he’s a certified single man.
